Walk & Roll to School on April 19!

April 13, 2017

In partnership with Safe Routes to School, SFDS is participating in this year's Walk & Roll to School Day on Wednesday, April 19.  Parent and teacher chaperones will meet students at various locations close to SFDS and we will walk and ride to school together (biking is for grades 3 and up; walking is for all grades as long as K-2 are accompanied by a parent/guardian).

  • Bikers: Meet at 7:15 a.m. in GGP for a prompt 7:25 a.m. departure. See specific locations on the spreadsheet.
  • Walkers' meet/departure time depends on proximity to SFDS; check with your group leader (in bold on the spreadsheet).

Email mphillips@sfds.net for the link to sign-up for your meet up location (look at tabs on the bottom)!  Here are the routes - if you want to chaperone a new location, please email mphillips@sfds.net:

  • Bike: GGP (6th Avenue and Fulton)
  • Bike: GGP (5th Avenue and Lincoln)
  • Walk: Cole Valley (Carl and Cole)
  • Walk: Inner Richmond (3rd Avenue and Clement)
  • Walk: Presidio Heights (Jackson and Presidio)
  • Walk: Inner Sunset (Frederick and Willard)

Upon arrival, all bikers will leave their bicycles in a designated area of Masonic Courtyard. Please be prepared to retrieve your bicycles after school on Wednesday, April 19.
