Art Orientation Meeting
This is an important meeting for all volunteers, old and new. All volunteers will be assigned their schedule for the year and have a chance to meet with the people they will be working with to determine their rotations. Please bring your calendars.

Volunteers are asked to commit to half the year, come every other week. (Click here for the schedule for the first half of the year (September-January), and click here for the schedule for the second half (February-June). New volunteers will be asked to stay on for a few minutes for the new volunteer orientation.

If you absolutely cannot attend the meeting but are interested, please email Karen Richards with the class you would like to volunteer with ASAP. She will do her best to include all of those that are interested, but ask that you have a second choice in mind if need be.

Last Chance to Update Information for Green Book
If you have not yet done so, please click here to update your household information in our new parent database. It is every family’s responsibility to provide the School with up-to-date home, employment, and emergency contact information. Be sure to check the “DNP” (do not publisTh) box if you do not want your information published in the online school directory & the greenbook.This weekend is the last chance to update your information before the green book is sent to print!

If a member of your household does not receive an email containing your login/password, contact registrar@sfds.net and someone will get back to you.

Volunteer Positions Still Available
There are many different ways to be an active volunteer. Parents give time in the classrooms, assist in the many parent-sponsored initiatives, and participate in community-building and fundraising activities. There are roles of every size and time commitment, and we hope to achieve 100% parent participation. Please fill out our online SFDS Volunteer Form 10-11 to pick activities that interest you. If you need some help finding the right opportunity, email the PA volunteer chair: Courtney Norris (abcn@earthlink.net).
