Student Council

The SFDS Student Council is made up of 22 kids. There are four elected representatives for each grade, one boy and one girl per class. Grades 5, 6, 7 and 8 are represented in the Student Council, and each term lasts a full school year.

In addition to the reps, there are two treasurers, two secretaries, and two presidents. These officers are in charge of running the meetings, and they are elected in the beginning of the year as well. Like the rep teams, the officers are co-ed. 7th and 8th graders are allowed to run for treasurer and secretary, while only 8th grade students may run for president.

Student Council is in charge of planning fundraisers, food days, spirit weeks, dances and parties. They have meetings each Friday at lunch, and announcements are made at the Monday assembly.
