Grandparents and Special Friends Day
Is Only Three Weeks Away!

On February 15, grandparents and special friends will visit with their students in the classrooms, getting a taste of the SFDS environment, and experiencing a small part of what the student’s school day is like. Guests will also be served refreshments in the gym before hearing an address by David Jackson. This will be followed by a musical performance by students from grades across the entire school.

Grandparents and Special Friends Day typically draws from 200 to 300 guests. Some grandparents and friends travel great distances to be with their students.

Parent-volunteers will be helping out with all aspects of the day, from welcoming guests when they arrive to serving as classroom hosts and classroom photographers. They also help to organize the food and decorations.

We have many people already signed up to help out, but we still need more. Without volunteers, the day simply couldn’t happen. Please email if you have a little time on the morning of Friday, February 15 and would like to join us. It’s a wonderful and fun day, and very memorable to your children.

To volunteer, email Dasha Ostrova at dostrova@sfds.net or Claudia Lewis at claudiaandwoody@mindspring.com today!

Thanks!

Your co-chairs, Claudia Lewis and Frances Jue.
