SFDS offers many types of academic and social support to its students.
The learning
resource department serves students in all grades, providing assessment,
direct instruction, and consultation with faculty, administrators, and parents
to help students reach their full academic potential.
The advisory program
is for students in grades 6 through 8. Its goals are to develop the schoolwide
values of compassion, integrity, and responsibility and to encourage students
to build friendships, take positive risks, and manage stress and peer pressure.
