Athena

By J.K.

Athena, the goddess of war and wisdom, was loyal to all the Greeks in many ways. Athena got these important roles from her dad Zeus, she was always little different because of the way she was born. She was born out of the head of Zeus with a sword and shield in hand, which is why Athena is Zeus’s favorite daughter.  One thing that made Athena unique is that she used wisdom for war. She would always think before going straight to violence and war.  Athena had also inspired many great heroes in ancient Greece, like, Hercules and Ulysses. She was a master at weaving and crafts as well as her other roles.  That was a very important part to the woman of Greece. She was a role model to all; even some of her family members used her advice and knowledge.  They appreciated how kind she was, so the Greeks built a temple called Parthenon mostly for Athena.  The biggest gift that Athena gave was an olive tree; it gave the people of Greece olives and olive oil, which were two of their sample foods. Because of that gift the city Athens was named after her beautiful name. Athena was an amazing goddess to all of Greece at the time and to the people of the world now.
