Apollo By G.L. Apollo, protector of land, almighty god of light and sun, and hero to the Greeks. Apollo was so powerful because of his role and function. He was god of light, sun, song, music and poetry. He could control the heat of the sun and how much light it produced. Apollo had the power to seek into the future with an oracle. Apollo had his own priest that would tell the message of what they would have to do for there bad behavior. Other than his role, characteristic is one the reason he was one of the most worshiped gods of all. There were many places in Greece the Apollo was worshiped, for example Athens and Crete. In many stories Apollo was a gentleman and quite handsome. Responsibility was of great concern to Apollo. As of his myth of killing the python he was considered a very brave god. His braveness, strength, and agility gave Apollo an importance to Greece that is extraordinarily large. The citizens of Greece gave their time valuables to Apollo to please him. Over history in Greece the people that live there say that he is the most important god of all. Others say that without him Greece would be no more. Apollo, from slaying a python to being worshiped, was an important Greek god. |
