Apollo

By C.T.

Apollo, god of power, prophecy, healing, music, light, and archery is the most important god because he is also the sun god, which in Greece there is a massive amount of sun there so their life depended on him. Apollo also had the most unique family. He is said to have come from either Asia or north of Greece. Apollo’s father, Zeus, is the god of the sky, who was married to Leto. Apollo’s twin sister, Artemis, is the goddess of the moon and is well known for being evil while sweet, generous; Apollo goes around Greece being “all mighty.”  First of all Apollo uses the most of his characteristics. Apollo has many efficient characteristics but the most recognizable are that he is one of the most powerful, brave, and bossy out of all the other gods. He was viewed as speaker of truth and master of music, an example of this is when he won his seventh Olympian music championship. He was thought to be scary by all the other Greek gods. No god could stand in his presence but his family. Apollo even has the most fulfilled myth and significance ever. In the myth were he killed the python (a dragon) and got on a ship and commanded the crew to serve him, I got the feeling he was a strong god. I also got the idea that he has bravery and confidence in himself and will do what it takes to help his people. Apollo was the god that the people of Greece worshiped with pleading that he would still bring them light, give them music, and protect them from all that stands in their way.
