| The Family Under the Bridge by: Reviewed by: Will |
| Do you like Paris, hobos and
happy endings? Then this is the book for you. It's about a
hobo who finds a family in the place where he usually spends winter.
The place is under a bridge, so naturally, that's where the title came
from. The family meets up with the hobo and they have a few adventures. If I had to rate this book on a scale of 1-10, I'd give it a 3. I'd give it that, because it was a little too dramatic. It was also a happy ending not a cliff hanger or a sad but true ending. If it had one of those endings, I'd probably give it a 6. I like sad books. The only reason I didn't give it a 1 is because it has a good motto: "Be happy you have a home." I like how the book was unraveling itself as it went on. I also liked how each person's life was told. I also like how the author described the smells. When the foods were described, my mouth was watering. This is an easy book. I'd say it is for ages 8-10. It is an okay book, but don't buy it, just go to your library and check it out. It is a book for people who like warm, fuzzy stories and French. Have fun reading this book. |
