Do you like drama and suspense? Well if you do this is the book for you.  It starts when a young boy named Jess Aarons, has been running all summer to be the fastest kid in fifth grade at Lark Creek Elementary.  That year he finds out that Leslie Burke is the fastest in fifth grade. They have something in common though, they both like to use their imagination.  Using their imagination,  they build Terabithia, a  magical kingdom in the woods. One morning something bad happens to Leslie.  If you want to find out read this book.

One of the strengths was when the author made the teacher say in the beginning "now boys!" but the boys wouldn't let her finish her sentence they were out and up too recess in a second. It  was the first day of school and the boys were anxious to go race   There were no weaknesses in the book.   This book just kept me on my feet, it was a nail bitter I never wanted too put the book down.

I like the part when the author said "Judy's eyes were kind of fuzzed over as she spoke, and her voice sounded as though it were being broadcasted miles away". It was good because she showed me not told me.  The author had many of those parts, but that was one of the best.

I recommend this book because I can relate to this book because that's what I do when I play sports with my friends.  It's the best book I've ever read.  It's for ages 9-80 anybody would like this book, even though  it has some sad parts, but other than that it is a great friendship book and a good book for parents to read to their kids.  I love this book!!!
