The Edge Chronicles #1 Beyond the Deep Woods Twig is a wood troll (or so he thinks) and the big wood trolls usually bully him!  One day Twig finds out that he has to go to his cousin’s house and, well he gets lost!  As we all know getting lost is NO fun at all so Twig got upset at himself for straying of the path, exactly like his wood troll told him not to!  The rest of the story is just about the animals and creatures that Twig meets.  Also what happens when Twig meets them.  The end of the book is about, well I can’t tell you, so you will just have to read the book yourself!          There are so many things that I like about this book.  One thing is that I think that the creatures and animals are very cool and creative.  Sadly, all books have something that the reader thinks should be better, even this book.  The thing that I think could be better is that I think that there should be a little bit more of the book that takes place where the wood trolls live.  This is what I like and don’t like, you could have a different opinion and that is ok with me.     Here is a quote from the book: “He could neither go up, nor down.” I just think that that is a really good quote because it really makes me feel like I was there.  Also, it makes me think, “What is he going to do?”  The other thing is that I really like the word “nor” for no reason at all!     This book, as you have probably found out, is a very good book, not bad, but good.  I think this because I personally like adventure and fantasy stories, and that is exactly what this book is.  I also highly recommend it for the reasons I told you.  It is good for ages 8 to 12 because of the words it uses and the basic idea of the story.  If you are a reader that likes mystical creatures and that kind of thing you would LOVE this book!     So now you know what book to read next!
