| Robot City by Isaac Asimov Something strange is here.... Two humans, Derec and Katherine, are stranded in a city with its inhabitants nothing but malfunctioning robots. So when a murder occurs, Derec and Katherine are accused of the crime. They know that they must clear themselves, but how? Robots are everywhere, and as alleged suspects, they cannot leave the room where they're imprisoned for further questioning. They must gather proof that they are innocent. And through mind-boggling puzzles, the obscure secret of robot city, and conflicts with robots, they are faced with a life or death challenge of their lives. I can't really think of any changes I could add to the book. This book is superbly written. I especially like the parts where Derec and Katherine meet new robots who triggered new adventures. In my opinion, this book couldn't have been written better. This book has a number of fascinating passages. But my favorite one is this: 'Nothing but death awaits you in the mine, Derec' said Avernus, his positronic photocells glowing bright red. What I like best about Isaac Asimov's writing is that mystery, sci-fi, and adventure are enigmatically intertwined all at the same time. I'd recommend this book to advanced readers mainly because of the complexity in its context. This book is a thriller for sci-fi readers or fans of mystery. Straight from the vast imagination of the renowned writer Isaac Asimov, this book is a sure fire hit in the sci-fi section. |
