The Grim Grotto
                 By Lemony Snicket

The Grim Grotto is the 11th book in A Series of Unfortunate Events.  In  the first book the Baudelaire children's (The Baudelaire children are the three main characters) parents die in a fire that also destroys their parents mansion.  So the three Baudelaires inherit a fortune but an evil person named, Count Olaf tries to take it away.  In this book the Baudelaires find them self in a submarine.  They become friends with a girl on the submarine named, Fiona.  Fiona's dad was the captain his name is Captain Widdershins.
Later they find that Captain Widdershins left them so that made Fiona captain, but then they run into Count Olaf and some strange things happen for example sunny the youngest Baudelaire get very very sick.
This book has some weaknesses a few of them are Count Olaf should have did more in the book because he is sort of a main character so he should have been in the book more then 30 pages.  Another one is there was some made up plants and sea weed, I dont like that because I like it to be realistic and I especially don't like how it ends on a cliff hanger.dss
The Grim Grotto has a lot of strengths a few of them are there is a lot of excitement, suspense, and some odd and strange parts in a good way.  "Come back here, Baudelaires! Your kids! Your children! Your youngsters! Your orphans! Come baaaaaaaack!'' screamed Mr. Poe.  I really like that line because it's sort of funny.
I recommend this book because it has action and some comedy.  This is book that 7 to 14 years old kids will want to read.  Once you pick this book up you won't put it down.
