8th Grade Cow Eye Dissection

The cornea was the first thing we took off the eye. We did the this by cutting with a razor blade where the sclera meets the cornea. We cut in a circle all the way around the cornea. The cornea appeared bluish against the eye. When we held it up against our glove which was white, it appeared clear. The cornea was the only part on the outside of the eye that was transparent. When we held the cornea we realized that it was very thick. We then tried to cut it apart. It was extremely hard to cut. We had to saw through it in order for it to cut. The cornea was very slimy, it fell off our hands.
