8th Grade Cow Eye Dissection |
|
The cows eye we dissected was about the size of a tennis ball. We began by cutting carefully around the cornea without damaging the iris or the lens behind it. Then we pried it off which was difficult to do. Next we took the lens out. It looked like a clear marble. Then we saw the vitreous humor, which was translucent and jelly-like. Then we turned the eye-ball inside out and we saw the tapetum which glowed a turquoise-ish blue color in the light. And last but not least, we recorded our data.
