The name of my flower is Borage. Its common name is the falling stars. Borage belongs to the boraginaceae family. Borage is found in subtropical areas and mostly in the Mediterranean region . It is less frequent in the cool tropical regions. Petals of the borage flower are pointed down so that it's pollinator, the bee, can fly up to it and easily pollinate. The bee can go right up to the pollen sacks and collect transfer pollen. One of the petals can grow up to 2 cm across. The pedicle (stem) and many leaves are very hairy. Even though most people say that the name "Borage" is an ugly name, it was used for many uses in the middle-ages. Those uses were for culinary purposes, flavor in a drink, and a source of medicine.
