The Retina
The retina is a surface covering the back of the eye that allows one to
see. Light is focused through the lens on to the retina where the rods and
cones in your eye interpret the image. Rods are what allow you to see in the
dark and the cones are the light perceiving cells that allow you to see colors.
The retina interprets the images and then makes them into electric signals
which are then sent to the brain so we could know what we are looking at Retina
