The students are in daily contact with hands-on materials; no traditional science
textbook is issued. Depending on the class and the unit, students may receive
a reference text to supplement the information presented in class. These may
include titles from the Prentice Hall Science series: Motion, Forces, and Energy;
Parade of Life: Animals; Parade of Life: Monerans, Protists, Fungi, and Plants;
Electricity and Magnetism; Human Biology and Health; Exploring the Universe;
Cells: The Building Blocks of Life; Sound and Light.
