What is the Parents Association?
The mission of the Parents Association is to build an inclusive community at San Francisco Day School.
The Parents Association does this through:
- Outreach to families, teachers and staff
- Promoting a culture of volunteerism
- Fostering community-wide communication
- Supporting Parent Education
- Reaching out to the neighborhood and beyond
The Parents Association gives parents a voice at the School by:
- Being available to act as a facilitator for parents
- Sitting on the Room Parent Council
How do I become a member of the PA?
Are you a parent? Then you’re already a PA member. To become an active member, on the other hand, you need to volunteer in some way.

Who is in charge of the PA?
Each spring, parents elect an Executive Committee to head the Parents Association. Officers for 2008-2009 are:
President – Diana Wolf
President-Elect – Christy Tripp
Treasurer – Peter Buckner
Secretary – Gina Moreno-John
Volunteer Coordinators – Alicia Nogales and Danny Wong
What kinds of events and activities does the PA oversee?
The PA oversees 20 different activities. They include fundraisers, community-building events, parent education, and support for faculty and staff - all could not be accomplished without the support of a dynamic team of parent co-chairs and volunteers. Here’s what we coordinate:
