We encourage EVERYONE - students, staff, and even parents- to participate in this all school event. Break out the hairspray, tear up your t-shirts and get in on the fun! This event is hosted by Student Coucil and includes both Lower School and Upper School.

Art Forts Summer Art Camp
June 16th-20th
Art educator and artist Karen Richards, of San Francisco Day School, will run the camp at San Francisco Day School. The rest of the team will be Bay Area artists known for their building skills. If you have a young artist who is up to this adventure contact Karen at krichard@sfds.net or online at sfgokids.com for an application. The cost is $450 for the week (includes all materials).

Summer Drama Program at SFDS
Lucinda Otto, our fine drama instructor, will be offering a summer drama camp at SFDS for students entering grades 2 - 6. The program will run from Monday, August 4 through Friday, August 15 from 9 - 3 pm each weekday. The camp will culminate in a BIG SHOW on Friday, August 15 at 1:00 pm. Campers will explore creative drama, stage craft, musical theatre singing and more. Interested? Contact Lucinda at lotto@sfds.net.

    A Teen Panel Discussion on The Privileges And Responsibilities Of Teenagers

  2. The San Francisco Psychotherapy Research Group & the Swedenborgian Church of San Francisco present a free monthly parenting lecture series.

  3. The JCC presents Mary Pipher, author of the 1994 best seller Reviving Ophelia, the book that opened America's eyes to the psychological toll that adolescent girls face growing up in a country rife with sexual abuse, school violence and an overwhelming pressure to be thin.

    Her second book, The Shelter of Each Other: Rebuilding Our Families, explores the loss of community in America that encourages people to develop their own family structures rather than rely on popular culture to do it for them, and urges them to be selective in the media they allow to enter their lives.

    The lecture is Monday, May 5 at 6: 30 p.m.  $15 member, $20 public. Go to the JCC website to purchase tickets.
