Congratulations to Josiah Corbus, Harrison Louie, Hannah Gorman, and Charlotte Halifax, who were all chosen to participate in the 2008 OAKE National Honor Choir. They will travel to Denver, CO in March to participate in this event. Way to go singers!
Our former after-school flute teacher, Melanie Keller is proud to announce the birth of her first baby! Owen Joseph Keller was born on November 27. Congratulations Melanie and her husband Blaise!
In early January, Hugo Kitano participated in the International Chopin Piano Competition in Japan. Bravo Hugo!
Jack Gorlin played “Colin” in the Lamplighters production of The Secret Garden. Way to go Jack!
Our goal in the music department is to foster life-long musicianship. We are eager to hear about our students’ musical activities outside SFDS. Please drop us a line to let us know about your musical experiences!
